Our Passion in Summary
Zizo Motion Pictures is an emerging Media, Arts and Development Organization, that is
inspired by the creativity of Young People, and works to amplify their voices, celebrates their
innovation and provides a safe space for public policy engagement, leadership and advocacy.
Our Mission is to “Is to empower young people to use creative
arts and the media as tools for social change and development.
Zizo Motion Pictures began as a spark of hope in the hearts of young people in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Emerging from Plan International’s Safe and Inclusive Cities program, the core objective was to empower the next generation to take charge of their communities and drive positive change. With a focus on responsive governance and social development, Zizo Motion was founded in 2017 and officially registered in 2021. Over the years, it has grown into a beacon of hope for young people in marginalised communities, inspiring them to use their voice,creativity and passion to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
As, Zizo Motion Pictures we offer a unique solution to the problem of Youth disengagement, disenfranchisement and apathy. By harnessing the power of the Creative Arts and Media, we are empowering young people to engage in their communities, promote responsive governance, and address the issues that matter most to them. Our model is based on the Positive Youth Development framework, which takes a socio-ecological perspective to Youth engagement and development. Our belief for example is that by training, supporting, and promoting young people to penetrate the digital creative economy, we can help them use their talents and skills to earn a living while making a positive impact in their communities.
This will entail that we are deliberate in our approach, and we measure our contribution towards developing agency, assets, and an enabling environment, that ensures that Young Zimbabweans are safe, healthy, and included.
